Double ended pogo pin is a type of spring loaded electrical contact that has conductive tips on both ends instead of just one. Press the double ended pogo pins firmly into the inner hole of the plastic housing to secure them in place. No soldering is required. Ensure that both plungers are compressed to the working height specified in the drawing. Once properly compressed, the pogo pins will operate reliably.
Floating Installation in a Plastic Housing (Suspended Type)
Insert the double ended spring loaded contacts into the pre-designed inner hole of the plastic housing without rigid fixing. Make sure the pins are compressed to the working height specified in the drawing to ensure normal operation. This installation method is also ideal for test fixtures and electronic component testing applications.
Double ended pogopin material & Parts
Double ended pogo pin features two movable plungers at both ends, a central barrel, and an internal spring. The plungers are typically made of brass or phosphor bronze for excellent conductivity and mechanical strength, with nickel and gold plating to reduce contact resistance and improve corrosion resistance. The barrel is usually made of brass or stainless steel with similar surface treatment, while the internal spring is made from stainless steel or music wire to ensure stable elasticity and long service life. When insulation is required, high-temperature engineering plastics such as PEEK or LCP may be used.
